I didn't do well my first semester of freshman year due to my family moving and it being a new environment. I feel there is a lot of school pride here especially among the freshman. The student-faculty ratio at Hofstra University is 14:1, and the school has 48.7 percent of its classes with fewer than 20 students. As part of the LGBT+ community, going to a school where I can be myself was extremely important to me. One experience I will always remember is throwing the Frisbee in the Liberty Republic courtyard.
